The international winter ALPINESWIM CAMP for age group competition swimmers will be held from:

 December 26, 2011 – January 2, 2012

The CAMP was founded in 1983 as technical training camp and clinic for age group competitive swimmers from all over the world. The ALINESWIM is known and recognized as Europe’s most advanced swim camp and is directed and supervised by the staff of AQUA JETS, a swimming academy that was based in Brussels/Belgium.

Girls and boys 10 and older, school swim team and/or swim club members are most welcome to join in this great venture and experience. All participants receive individualized instruction from skilled, experienced, international coaches to master or further improve competitive swimming SKILLS, especially STROKE MECHANICS, TURNS and STARTS. Scientific training methods of physiology and biomechanics are applied to the swimmers’ conditioning process (favored by altitude training). The programmed and structured work-outs are designed and implemented according to our well tested principles of Endurance and Sprint Training, in a form of masterfully composed and interesting interval sets.

Swimmers will also be taught to become self-dependent, i.e. learn how to be their own coach, for example, when coaching is not available. They will learn how to design their own training program, warm-ups for meets, racing strategies, implementing anatomical and mechanical principles of swimming training and competition.

TRAINING SESSIONS will be held during the morning hours in the hotel’s 25m indoor pool designed and constructed to accommodate up to date training and competition. The source of water is from mountain springs and treated with ‘Grander’ technology.

The AFTERNOONS will be open for alpine and/or cross country SKIING and WATERPOLO to complement the all round swimming performance combined with recreational fun. TENNIS (indoor) and SQUASH are also available in the resort.

EVENING programs will include: film presentation on swimming technique; guidance and discussion of: age group competition and training methods, theory, ethics, etiquette, self-motivation, mental readiness and mental toughness, sportsmanship, athletic lifestyle, nutritional guidance and … holiday celebration.

There will be breakfast buffets and nutritious menus, specially prepared for athletes in training at lunch and dinner.

The ALPINESWIM CAMP starts December 26, 2011 at 16.00 h. Check-in at hotel reception between2  and 4 pm and will end January 2, 2012 at about 1 pm.

TRANSPORTATION should be organized by the campers’ families. Mittersill (located in the center of Austria’s largest National Park in the Federation of Salzburg) can be reached by car, train (Kitzbühel or Zell am See) plane (Munich, Salzburg).

The cost of the 7-day camp is 470 Euros. The amount does not include pocket money and ski related expenses and is payable in Euros. A down payment of 200 Euros per swimmer is due with the sign up/reservation (Down payments will only be reimbursed upon cancellation by registered letter received at the address below before or on November 15, 2010). The remainder should be paid upon arrival in Mittersill at check in.

(This type of international transfer exists in all Euro-zone countries and costs do not exceed those of a normal domestic transfer).

CHECKS – a personal bank check in US dollars for the 200 Euro EQUIVALENT is also accepted and can be sent to the address below in case the IBAN/BIC transfer cannot be made. (However, banks are charging extra fees for processing checks).
